Thank you to everyone who has subscribed or bought a copy of issue 28 and to the continuing support of our Gold and Silver Stars, issue 28 has been our fastest selling issue and even after reprinting additional copies we have sold out again.

It’s heartwarming, especially in these times of funding cuts and austere measures, that people see the worth in a magazine like Brittle Star to keep supporting it. As we run it voluntarily it does help us to know that you think it is worthwhile. We’re working on issue 29 at the moment, as well as our first anthology, Said and done, which we’ll be launching at the end of the month.

All best

Brittle Star Editors

Brittle Star will be launching its first anthology, Said and done, on August 25 in London and on August 28 in Southsea.

“Here are some of the fruits of Brittle Star’s first decade: bright and shining in their talents, various in root and branch, but all stemming from an ethical and humane impulse that honours the word.” – Mimi Khalvati

C’mon, y’know you all got diaries for Christmas (even those with smart phones!) so put yours to good use by adding the Brittle Star London launch date for issue 28.

It’s on Wednesday 30 March 2011 at the Barbican Library, Silk St, London, EC2Y 8DS.

There will be wonderful readings of poetry and short stories, tasty nibbles and refreshments, a chance to meet the editors, and – most importantly – the opportunity to get the latest copy hot off the press! The event is free, but you need to book tickets through the Barbican Library (020 7638 0569) as numbers are limited.
